You can find out the different roofing materials’ lifespans via the table and information below. Slate has been known to be one of the most long-lasting materials, but do consider other factors when making a purchase as these might not cater to your requirements for roofing.

Material Approximate lifespan:

Clay Approx. 50-60 years, with potential of 100+ years

Concrete Approx. 30-60 years, with potential of 75+ years

Natural slate Approx. 50-100 years, with potential of 150 years

Fibre cement (roof sheet) Approx. 50 years

EPDM (rubber) roofing Approx. 25-30 years, with a potential of 50 years

GRP (fibreglass) roofing Approx. 25-30 years

The short answer is yes. The life expectancy of a roof will vary as each material has different benefits when it comes to its design.

As long as they are in good shape and are not in need of fixing or replacing then we can work around them.

We stand by our work, so if there are any leaks in the new roof, we cover the repair cost to the roof and any damage caused by the leak.
